Family garland

Era da tanto che avevo un'idea in mente, ispirata da un lavoro di Stephanie Bryan, e finalmente domenica ho provato a realizzarla. 
Adoro i frames, e adoro le ghirlande, fatte con foto e abbellimenti attaccati con le mollettine allo spago. Per non attaccare la ghirlanda direttamente al muro, ho preso una cornice semplice che facesse da sfondo. Ho iniziato scegliendo i frame da utilizzare (tranne uno) tra quelli della collezione Crate's Open Road, e ho fatto fatica a scartarne alcuni perchè sono tutti bellissimi e di colori perfetti per me. Ho abbinato ciascun frame ad una carta di sfondo e ho scelto anche alcune card PL per alternare.

I had this idea in mind for a long time, inspired by Stephanie Bryan, and finally on Sunday I tried to realize it.
I love chipboard frames, and I love garlands made ​​with photos and embellishments with small clothespins on twine. I didn't want to attach the garland directly to the wall, so I bought a simple big frame to have a background. I started by choosing the chipboard frames to be used among the Crate's Open Road collection, and I struggled to discard some of them because they are all beautiful and of the perfect color for me. I paired each frame to a background paper and I also chose some PL card to alternate.

Ho scelto poi per ogni frame una foto speciale, abbinando dimensioni e colori.

Then for each frame I chose a special photo, matching sizes and colors.

Ho abbellito poi ogni frame e card rimanendo sempre su toni soft, e aggiungendo un tocco dorato che ci sta sempre bene! Ho anche cucito i frame alle card sotto con la macchina da cucire... non sono ancora precisa precisa ma a volte è anche meglio e mi piace questo effetto imperfetto ;)
I then embellished each frame and cards remaining on soft tones, and adding a golden touch that it's always perfect! I also sewed the frames with their card with the sewing machine... I'm not yet accurate but sometimes it is even better and I like the imperfections ;)

Infine ho assemblato tutto, spago, mollettine, frames ed è venuto così!

Avevo pensato di modificare lo sfondo usando il gesso e la pasta modellabile, rendendolo quindi bianco, ma ora sono indecisa perchè così i frame spiccano bene... ci penserò, intanto ho appeso il mio home decor e mi piace tanto!
I had planned to change the background using gesso and modeling clay, making it white, but now I'm not sure because the frames stand out so well... I'll decide, in the meantime I hung my home decore and I love it!
